In mid May we were asked to seed the public open space area at a new development in Tackley being built by Barwood Homes – a collection of new 3 and 4 bedroom, semi-detached and detached homes. We used a John Deere Tractor with a stone burrier and a Blec Combi PAC Seeder. The stone burrier helped to reduce the amount of Cotswold stone on the surface of the ground, which was always going to be a challenge.
Heavy rain in late May and early June delayed the seeding operations, but by June 17th ground conditions had improved and work was completed. The Blec Seeder helped to achieve a quality finish and the management team at Tackley were very pleased with the outcome of the works. The residents at Tackley will soon enjoy a wildflower meadow area which will enhance the landscape with a variety of native wildflowers and encourage Wildlife.
