4th Corner Landscaping won the contract with Forest of Dean Council to plant 149 trees along Harbour Road as part of the Destination Lydney Harbour regeneration project. Landscaping work started on 16th November 2021. 4th Corner will be planting trees alongside the approach to the harbour. This will include a variety of Himalayan Birch, Field Maple and Hawthorn trees.
Cllr Sid Phelps said: “The tree planting is a key element of the project, improving the aesthetics of the harbour’s approach and also playing a role in our commitment to reduce our impact on the climate.”
Head of Soft Landscaping Schemes at 4th Corner, Giorgo Daniel said: “We are really excited to be involved in the improvements at Lydney Harbour. After being awarded the clearance and planting contract in August, we have worked closely with the council to ensure this project is a great success. 4th Corner plants 1000’s of trees every year for many clients. It’s one of the most rewarding types of work we do. We are passionate about the environment, and tree planting is one of the frontline ways we can help against climate change”.
Experienced colleagues Robson and Taro were tasked with delivering the tree planting at Lydney Harbour. They have extensive tree planting and soft landscaping experience. Moreover, they have worked with many clients, from local councils, housebuilders, garden designers and property mangers.
