Staff from 4th Corner got the chance to spend the day at the brand new two-day GroundsFest event on Thursday 21st September to celebrate our 20th Anniversary.
Our Grounds Maintenance Operations Manager, Graeme Makin, attended the event alongside Senior Team Leaders Matthew Bolter and Craig Jeffs, and Skilled Operative, Scott Archer.

Held at Stoneleigh Park, Warwickshire, GroundsFest is the UK’s largest event dedicated to turf management and landscaping.
With live music and unique street food stalls, the festival combines demonstration and talks from industry-leaders with training for visitors on their state-of-the-art machinery.
Training classes included a Topiary Masterclass with Grant Orchard, an Introduction to Sports Line Marking, as well as multiple sessions with ride-on mowers, long and short reach hedgecutters, boom sprayers, and blowers and vacuums. Our attendees also got the opportunity to find out the latest trial data on pesticides, fertilisers, and biostimulants.

Our attendees were particularly excited about viewing the new Kombi battery equipment from Stihl, Ego and Echo, which now have the same amount of power as the Two Stroke kombis. They also watched a live demonstration of the Stihl Battery Blower, with new and improved technology, and the Foxwood Chipper.
Operations Manager, Graeme, had a brilliant day out: “I loved that the festival was held outside, which meant we got to see a lot of demonstrations of the machinery in action. There was a lot of innovative technology that I haven’t seen before, and a real focus on battery equipment, which is better for the environment and less of a disturbance to residents. It was interesting to see what’s up and coming in the industry!”
