4th Corner have been using fuel that is 99% cleaner than ordinary petrol in our machinery to reduce our environmental impact.
Aspen Alkylate Petrol is virtually free from sulphur, benzene and solvents, making it less harmful than regular petrol. It enables our staff to breathe much cleaner air when working with power tools, and, with these harmful ingredients removed, the odour produced is minimal.
Alkylate is one of the cleanest petroleum products that can be produced. It is composed of up to 10 different components, while regular petrol can contain up to 35 different components.
Aspen also helps to keep our machines protected in use and in storage, giving them maximum performance. Regular petrol contains ethanol, which is known to cause harm to small petrol engines. Aspen is ethanol free, thus extending engine life and reliability.
Aspen contains significantly less harmful and toxic hydrocarbons which therefore reduces the impact our machinery makes on the environment. For example, we can mow for 100 hours on Aspen Alkylate Petrol before reaching the same level of toxic benzene emissions as one hour moving with regular petrol!
